Terms of Service

Effective June 28, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of GatemanAI and the other products and services provided by WTMG Labs (“WTMG Labs,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. The Service

GatemanAI provides presence-aware awareness for a single entrance: it detects activity, captures images, generates AI descriptions, and sends alerts and answers over WhatsApp and a web dashboard. The Services are currently offered as part of an early pilot and may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued as we develop them.

2. Accounts and Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Services. You are responsible for the information you provide, for the activity that occurs under your account, and for keeping your access credentials and device tokens secure. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree that you will, in connection with the Services:

Use them only at a location you own or are authorized to monitor, and only for lawful purposes;
Comply with all laws that apply to you, including data-protection and surveillance laws, and provide any notices required where you operate (for example, signage indicating that an area is monitored);
Not use the Services to harass, stalk, or unlawfully surveil any person, or to infringe the rights of others;
Not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Services or related systems.

You are the party responsible for how a GatemanAI deployment is used at your location, including the lawful basis for capturing images of people who pass through it.

4. Third-Party Services

The Services rely on third parties, including Google (AI), Meta (WhatsApp), and our hosting providers. Your use of the Services through WhatsApp is also subject to WhatsApp’s own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, and their availability may affect the Services.

5. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

6. Intellectual Property

WTMG Labs and its licensors own all rights in the Services, including the software, models we integrate, and branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Services during the term of your account. The images and event data captured at your entrance remain associated with your account, and you may request their deletion at any time.

7. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. GatemanAI is an awareness and notification tool, not a guaranteed security or safety system. It depends on power, connectivity, camera placement, and third-party services, and it may miss events, generate inaccurate descriptions, or be delayed or unavailable. Do not rely on it as your sole means of security or emergency response.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WTMG Labs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on the Services, missed or delayed alerts, or inaccurate descriptions. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us for the Services in the three months before the claim, or, if you have not paid us, to a nominal sum.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time and request deletion of your data. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Services. On termination, we will delete or anonymise your data as described in our Privacy Policy and our data deletion instructions.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date above and, where appropriate, notify account owners. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Lagos State have jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory rights you have under the law where you live.
